Merry Christmas!!

It's Christmas day. Sorry i didn't update yesterday. We've had a pretty fantastic white christmas here in New Jersey with the Haley's. So far they've received Beatles Rockband, Wii, Wii sports and i'm sure we'll come across some more amazing things. So i hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and i can't wait to play Lose that Girl on the Beatle's Rock band.

#91 Finding a Christmas Present Still Under the Tree the Next Day

It's amazing because you don't realize you had one so there is no unnecessary anxious anticipation. And then it's the most amazing Christmas present just because it's like a little secret surprise.

ha ha ok well here is the list of awesome things for this week. Once again a little late, but while I'm on winter break everything will probably be running a few days behind. Not that i have a ton of things to do, I'm just in no rush and want to take this blog writing and finding pictures to a new level. Some of nenuphars pics are amazing and i would love to know where she finds them.

#94 SNOW

If you're from a place that NEVER gets snow... you're like me and enjoy the trips that greet you with snow. Not enough to keep you stranded for days inside your house, but enough for you to spend a day inside and make the excuse that you can't go anywhere because of it. Enjoy the view, grab some hot cocoa or coffee and just sit back and relax. If it's snowing, everyone else is in their house, and it's almost as though the world has come to a stand still. <3

#93 Getting the cool side of the pillow

I have been informed that it takes 20 minutes for a pillow to cool off. Thus i have created the perfect solution. Every 5 minutes, make a 180 degree turn of your pillow. Think of putting the top side closer to your face. Then 5 minutes later, turn the pillow over. another 5 minutes, do the top to bottom approach. Then repeat the flip and voila!! cool pillow for all 20 minutes!! of course this isn't really helpful when it's 20 degrees outside and you're actually in search of the warm side of the pillow. In that case have someone go to bed before you and steal one of their pillows!

Awoke to b sketching and it's going to snow tomorrow

I arrived in jersey a little later than expected last night. Also there was no internet on the plane as they had promised. So i didn't get a chance to update while on the plane and this post is a day late. But I'm very excited to be here. I'm going to hopefully find some time this weekend to head into the city and grab a magnolia's cupcake and meet up with an old high school friend who recently moved to NYC. Licorice, b's cat, has just jumped on the bed to say hello. b's currently working on some art work for a winter church trip retreat and it's coming along really pretty. I'll take some pictures of her artwork later and put them on here for you all to see.

JUST realized i hadn't added to my 100 awesome things list this week. So instead of editing the last blog for the 100th time i'm just going to add a mid-week post.

#96 - Finishing a paper

I don't know about you guys, but if you've ever been in college and written anything more than a 5 page paper, you understand the feeling of relief and happiness that comes over you when you're finished. As finals week is commencing this week, i have fully understood this while writing a 12 page, 2x 5 page, and a 4 page paper. Life is good even when you finish just one. So you can fully understand this awesome feeling if you've ever been here. If not, well think of it like this. You've been searching for that PERFECT christmas present for almost 2 months and FINALLY you find it. You drive all over town, calling hundreds of stores. But until the person opens it and has the reaction you're looking for, you're filled with happiness that you have accomplished you're goal. YEAH finishing a paper feels like that!

#95 Crawling into bed after a long night out

It's been a great night out. You mingled with either friends or schmoozed with the elite. Drinks were amazing and the food was decent. You danced and gossiped and maybe along the way stopped off for a late night burger. After all the fun you've been having, you're feet are killing you, your coat is no longer keeping you warm and all you want is to go home and crawl into bed. Perhaps repeating this experience the next night. You stumble on home, strip down, jump into bed and before you realize it you're asleep. Bed and sleep have never seemed so amazing.

Like how i'm currently writing this in my Foreign Policy class. Completely ignoring people's comments and debates, guys who have beards with creepy stares, sometimes looking at the cute guy in class, internally pondering what you're missing and if it will be on the exam. But you're a rebel. Congratulations for being the smart one to bring your computer to class. Everyone without a computer is envious of you because they wish they could avoid this chaos/debate like you. So for me...

Nobody can her you... and sure... you might feel awkward when you catch another person's gaze, but hey, they've probably done it 100 times too. And if anything, just think of the benefits.
